Description: Picnic area just south of M6 J42, heading towards Dalton on Newbiggin Road. The car park is the start of two paths: one goes through bushes which can be cruisy in summer, but bare in winter, towards the river and under the motorway bridge where action can happen. The other way goes over an old bridge, and you can turn right along the river there.
