Summer nights were generally busy for cruising, but now that CCTV is installed all around the park, it is impossible to do anything here. It appears that they are linked to the police, and anybody looking like they could be up to fun alerts the police to make a visit. This is for safety,
The police bright lights have now been removed, but additional CCTV has been installed around the park, and sunlight is available around the monuments and statues.
There is still a police presence, which is likely to remain due to ASB and a recent attack. If you cruise here, be extra careful
This city centre park is a popular cruising area. No shelter, so weather specific, but after the bars and clubs close, it can become quite busy. Increasingly popular with taxi drivers. Very open, but a few seats to sit, which can't be noticed by others unless they are walking through.
