  • Description: This area at the end of Roberts Road has been transformed by the opening of the Te Whau Pathway. A new 1.35 km section replaces the old, informal tracks with a shared boardwalk and concrete path that follows the edge of the Whau River.

This place is very open, with houses all around. The track going right leads to a dead end and you might find some cover in the bush there. The path to the left leads back to Te Atatu South. You may still find the old path along the backyards of houses, they are directly beside the track without fences and the houses in view. It's a very risky area. It is a popular walking and riding track so you will generally see other people. You are best to pre plan a meet and maybe best to stay in the privacy of your car.
The bushes can be really private at night and early mornings, walk south on the concrete walkway passed the wooden bench about 100m the concrete walkway ends & there are lots of bushes & pine trees to get lost in.
