Description: The Cell Block is a long-established bar on Halsted Street. Originally established as the Loading Dock at this location, it has been a mainstay of the community for over 25 years. When The Loading Dock ceased to operate, it was sold and re-opened as Cell Block.
Today, Cell Block thrives. It is still an important part of the neighborhood, in addition to serving the leather and fetish interests of Chicagos LGBTQ2S+ community. Although it has gone through some changes over the years, it is re-establishing itself as a place to meet, cruise and find some fun.
