  • Description: Railroad Bridge Park is a large and wooded public park adjacent to the Dungeness River Nature Center, and makes for some fine cruisy areas, but there are no trains. Both the park and the Nature Center are part of the Olympic-Discovery Trail. The parking lot is huge, but you can come on foot or by bike. The Olympic Trail curves around the center to the north, where there is a trailhead to hike trails heading upriver. The trailhead for the trails leading down river is is the courtyard, at the foot of the steps. As of May, 2026, there has been some work on these trails, but there are still many hidden areas here, on the trails leading upriver and in the woods between the river and the dry riverbed. Lots of branches and small downed trees, and people around during the day. At night, it's totally different.
